I just now realized that I forgot to post this morning. We were kind of pressed for time with Troy working tonight & all. It was a fairly typical Wednesday, running around getting things finished, started or paid for.
I got myself some yummy smelling vanilla candles for the office, the rest of what we bought was pretty standard household stuff. And groceries.
I was cooking dinner tonight & had a momentary lapse of sanity while frying chicken. I took a piece & kind of threw it into the pan of hot oil.. causing the oil to splash up onto my entire hand.. so my index finger is a mass of blistering.. the palm of my hand down onto my wrist is covered in smaller blisters & its quite hard to type, since its my left hand & that’s all I use for typing. Boy, do I feel stupid. Not to mention any pain I’m undergoing.

First I need to thank Jill, Kathy & Bev for their comments (and help) on my puppy training problems. I started moving the pads yesterday & he’ll pee on them where they are.. but not the other *sigh*, but will keep trying until our next tax check gets here & then its crate time. I’m just hoping he’ll go once we get him outside, since he can spend the whole day out there on his chain, with food & water & not go.
*note to self – get more info on crate training today*
Yesterday was ok.. it was a bit stressful at the start & towards the end, since the kids decided that what they wanted to do most of all was to fight. Dinner was good last night, though it seems more & more gets left over every day. Troy says we “eat like normal people” now.
I’ll be adding some more links to my reads sometime today, I have them in my bookmarks, I just haven’t gotten around to adding them here yet.
Still haven’t made the posters for my office either.. when did the days become so full of other “stuff” that I can’t make time to get things done on the computer? I guess taking the time to clean house, make the bed & do the dishes, really does take some time.
Well.. off to read the dailies & do school & clean house & exercise…

That’s all done.. 20 minutes (7 miles) & the muscles in my leg are twitching around. That’s an increase of 2 miles since I moved it up to 20 minutes, I’m really proud of myself
I know I’m posting a lot today & seeming to make big successes out of little things, but a lot of the “little” things were things I wasn’t really doing very often & I’m really trying to keep up with everything now. So, to me, these are big things.
Troy has to work tomorrow night & a half shift Thursday night, so we won’t have much of a weekend around here, but his check next week will be nice for paying the rent with.

When we got Bear, he was nearly housebroken. The kids started ignoring his whining at the door & he started using the carpet. We tried & tried to get him to go outside, and as a last resort, started using those “puppy training pads”.. well, now we can’t move the pads & he’ll stay outside all day waiting to come in & potty.. I’m at a loss as to what to do.. he’ll be way too big pretty soon to even be in the house.
He’s confused & I don’t know how to fix it
We may end up having to get rid of him if this doesn’t change.

I got my posters made finally. They’re even hung up. When we first moved in here, we had intended to use this office area as a classroom, but the kids decided they didn’t like school in here & so after I had school-like posters all hung up it became just an office/sewing room. That really looked academic. It’s nothing amazing or stylish, but it looks more like me.

I finally got my shelves looking pretty nice in here, or at least better organized looking anyway. I still need to make & print some new posters for this room, so it’ll “fit” me better, but I’m making progress.
Crap.. I forgot to mail the van payment.. better send it up to the box with the kids later on. At least its never been late before. I even thought about it briefly yesterday.. just not long enough for it to “stick”.. well pooh.
Anyhow, its late, not much I can do about it now.. stressing out isn’t going to help.
A typical Monday, other than that.. Rhi’s already whining at the PSX, Erin’s still in bed & its time for school.. typical.

I’m trying to find a better way to arrange the stuff on my built in shelves, but I’m not having a lot of luck.. I think I should move the kids’ reading & school books to a lower shelf & some of my dolls to a higher one, but I’m really not sure.

Hello there! I think I’m back into the swing of things, or I am for a few days anyway (until our next “weekend” at any rate). I’m taking a break in my cleaning to pop in & post. I only have to do a quick pick up in the living room & my bedroom, put the sheets back on my bed & make it up & I’m finished for the day. Then I’m going to kind of re-arrange my office a bit to make it more “user-friendly”.. or at least decide how I want it to look & maybe make some posters to hang up.
I’m looking up recipes for the Johnsonville Brats I’m cooking for dinner tonight & trying to decide what I want to fix with them, and cooking part of my lunch too. I’ll likely be popping in & out to post as the day goes on & I finish what I’m doing.

I hadn’t realized that I’d skipped posting for two days.. everything is ok, we’ve just been very busy for the past few days:
Wednesday: Got our shopping & everything done & our state tax return came.
Thursday: Went to a different town & shopped for the day, then found out we were having our house inspected by the property manager the next morning, so spent the next 8 hours cleaning.
Friday: Inspection lasted 5 minutes & they only came in the living room. Had gaming and so on.
This morning, Troy & my dad were supposed to go & get some more coal, but my dad just stopped by telling us that a friend of theirs (and my kids’ former bus driver) had died & the pastor was gone.. so my dad, being the Deacon, has to try to take care of things. So we’ll be running out to get some coal in a little bit.

Did I mention that I love Wednesdays? I love being out with my family, spending time, having fun, taking care of things that need to be done. It doesn’t hurt that we have a bit of money, even the weeks its only for groceries.
I’m feeling a tiny bit better, tho its quite obvious to me that I am, indeed, running a fever. Speaking of which, if you pray, I have a friend who’s 9 y/o daughter is very sick right now. She has throw up so much in the past 2 days that she was getting dehydrated last night & was still refusing to drink anything, her poor mom is a nervous wreck. So, they can both use all of the prayers they can get (she is a single mom & has had to take off of work the whole week without pay too).
So.. we go pay the van payment today, go to Wally World for kitty supplies & household stuff & then get groceries. Maybe to the thrift store too. Gotta get through school first tho.
