Hi there. My name is Dyane. This is my blog, its where I express my opinion, vent about things I consider an injustice, talk about my life, family, pets and friends. Sometimes I talk about my religion.

I’m a Witch. Yes. Really.

It’s a religion, not a fairy tale. I don’t have green skin, warts & a pointy nose, and I don’t ride a broom (although that would be really cool) & I never went to Hogwarts, because I’m not a fictional character. Its not just a cute blog title because I’m afraid to say “bitchy.” Trust me, when I think that I’m being a bitch, I say so. I say it when someone else is, too.

If you don’t understand what I mean, or don’t believe that it can be a religion, or that Witches are real, then I suggest you start with this article, and then move onto this one, (although I am not Wiccan, it explains a few things)

I’m also a wife. I’ve been married to Troy for 18 years. He’s my best friend, he was my best friend before we got romantically involved. I can’t imagine my life without him. I came very close to losing him in November of 2008. He was very sick from a gangrenous gall bladder that he had no symptoms from until he was septic. He also had a fairly rare bacteria in his system that was benign until it was faced with it’s favored, no oxygen environment. His doctor had only one other patient that this happened to in his nearly 40 years in practice & she did die, so he was very fortunate & I’m extremely thankful.

I’m a mom. I have a 23 year old son, named Garrett Waller. He’s got a nine-to-five that he seems to enjoy & just recently (December 20, 2009) got married to Keirstin Davis (we call her Keri). I’m very proud of him. We were thrilled to have them come out & visit so we could meet her in May of 2008.

I also have a 21 year old son, named Erin. He graduated from high school in 2006, against all the odds. He is currently living the tramp life, hitch-hiking all over the country, living under bridges & getting drunk. He has a sweet little dog named Bella & they look out for each other. I’m not bragging about his lifestyle or condoning it, it simply is & I’m an honest person. We love him & worry about him, but it’s his life & this is his choice.

I have a 20 year old daughter, too. Her name is Rhiannon, but she prefers Rhi or Amaruk. She graduated from high school in May of 2008. In June, she tried to kill herself with a bottle of Tylenol & a rubbing alcohol chaser. We didn’t find out until mid-July, and when we did, we were devastated. In September we took her to the doctor, she was diagnosed as bi-polar & she started taking medication. We noticed an improvement within days. She stopped hating me, she stopped acting out, and most days, she was pretty happy. The medication stopped working very effectively after a few months & then she lost her insurance, had no job & no way to buy insurance or pay for her medication. She uses an alternate “herbal” method of mellowing out now. She has no job, but is looking for one & she lives with us.

I’m a daughter. My parents JR & Joyce, have been married for 51 years. I’m the youngest child & their only daughter. I’m also the only one of their children that they can depend on 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If they need me for something, I’m there. They don’t know that I’m a Witch, because I have no need to upset their lives. I was a grand-daughter until August 7, 2008. My grandmother, Pearl, was my mom’s mother. At 93 she had pretty severe Alzheimer’s. She lived with my parents and they took care of her, until she died. Just like I will take with my parents when the time comes.

I’m a sister. I have two brothers. The oldest, Steve, is 50 & is an active alcoholic. I have very little to do with him, that started when the booze became more important than the people in his life. I see him on the holidays & I’m civil. I love him, but I can’t watch him kill himself anymore. The other one, Craig, is 48. I haven’t seen him for 19 years, but I hope to before too much time passes, we had some problems, but we’re working on them & I miss him very much.

I’m a friend. My friends are the family I chose. I love my friends & would do almost anything for them & have. They hopefully know that, I make of point of letting each of them know how much they matter to me as often as I can.

I’m a crafter, a renne rat, a gamer geek and so much more.. stick around & find out.
